Review (explained by Khairul);

“Surrogates”

- When I wrote this song, all I could think of was the amount of jealousy in society. People will always do what it takes to bring you down and make it seem like they own your life just to make themselves look good. The only way to overcome this is by proving them wrong from all angles, turn their doubts into success and be the best that you can. The lyrics from 1:03 to 1:20 was specially written for a few just to make it clear that we can’t be “owned”. Never let anyone decide your path for you. You make the calls for yourself at the end of the day. Good or bad, that’s your call. You can never learn without making mistakes therefore it is of great importance to always stand for what you believe in and never fall into the hands of liars. In other words, “Success is the best revenge”.

 “Traitor”

- “A person who betrays another, a cause, or any trust.” This song was written for a person who I once thought was a friend to us. Sometimes things are too good to be true. We all get carried away once in awhile with the company that we keep so it’s always best to maintain a distance between yourself and the ones you can’t trust. Some are true and sincere, some are just in it for the name. The person who’s your bestfriend today might not be the same tomorrow. Things change from time to time therefore we should always evaluate before making a decision. Enemies shouldn’t be made but the sad truth is, people come and go.

“Transitions”

- Most people, by the time they’re at a certain age will definetely experience at least one heart-break in their romantic life. You know, the gut-wrenching kind that leaves you scarred for life? precisely. After being hurt so badly, it can be hard to think of moving on. Sometimes you may think you’ll never get over your lost love. This song was wrote for a hopeless romantic who had so much of heart for a lady who never had much heart for him. Foolish for always prioritizing her, he soon realizes that he can no longer keep up with her needs and ends up letting go of everything for good.

“Stay Alive”

- Love can have the power to influence us, lead us to feel pressured or respond out of habit only in accordance to how much we allow them to and that’s just it. How much will we allow them to? We have a free will. That leaves us with a responsibility to choose the good, true, just, and lovely if we want a certain relationship to work out. Even the desire to break out of old, negative patterns requires us to make a choice. Ultimately, we are in control of our feelings. This song goes out to every individual that have been through this painful thing we call love. Always remember with great love, comes great responsibility.

“Relapse”

- Stop taking so much notice of how you feel. How you feel is how you feel, It’ll pass soon. What you’re thinking is what you,re thinking, It’ll go too. Tell yourself that whatever you feel, you feel; whatever you think, you think. Since you can’t stop yourself from thinking or prevent emotions from arising in your mind, it makes no sense to be proud or ashamed of either. You didn’t cause them. Only your actions are directly under your control. They’re the only proper cause of pleasure or shame. I wrote this song for a friend who was going through hardship at the time. Not being himself, I’ve always wanted to make sure that he was always under control as he was losing his mind day by day for the wrong reasons. Today, he is fine and I can’t thank god enough for restoring his health being able to lead a normal life like a normal human being.

“Crossroads”

- This song was written for those who have always taken things lightly. In other words, people who always doubt themselves with whatever it is they do. Firstly, don’t be surprised by your doubts. We don’t know everything as we are in between time where things are incomplete. We can often be sinful or prideful which doesn’t help therefore we shouldn’t be that surprised if we, or someone we know, runs into doubt. Don’t be proud. We shouldn’t be surprised if we experience doubt, we shouldn’t be proud of it either. Sometimes doubt is treated like it is the only way to be humble. Have faith in what you do because you’re only given one chance to prove yourself for what you’re worth.

“Home”

- The great advantage of having nothing is that everything becomes a gain. Losing everything is at the same time the scariest, as well as the most liberating experience you can have. When you have something, anything, you’ve got to protect it from disappearing and so worry becomes a resident in your heart. When you’ve got nothing, your heart overflows with gratitude for every offering you receive. I wrote this song on behalf of my bandmates that have all been through a series of tasks. Losing something or someone doesn’t mean the end. Our message here is to make sure that all of you never lose faith in what you do and always strive for the best even if it means going through it alone. People can tell us what to do but nothing will prevail if we don’t start with ourselves.
